Gregory

Ms. Gregory's practice focuses on life sciences companies and research institutes.  She represents several Boston-based, life sciences and medical device and other high technology companies. She serves as in-house general counsel for the Maine Institute for Human Genetics and Health and the Institute for Pediatric Innovation along with several for profit clients. The majority of the practice involves business counsel and advising on partnering, regulatory issues, including FDA and FTC issues of advertising and promotion of medical products, licensing, collaboration agreements, issues of confidentiality and invention protection, venture capital and strategic corporate partnering along with other related business transactional matters. Ms. Gregory serves as the Vice Chairman of the board of the Pierce Law Center, Chairperson on the facilities committee of the University of New England Board of Trustees, and serves on the boards of Fluid Imaging Technology, CEI Ventures, Inc., Small Enterprise Growth Fund, the Biotechnology Association of Maine, the Biddeford Coastal Coalition, Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer, Affinity of Maine, the Maine Technology Institute's Biotechnology review panel, the Bigelow Laboratory for Oceanographic Sciences' Advisory Board, the City of Biddeford Conservation Commission and its Open Space Planning Committee.  Ms. Gregory holds a B.A. degree from Wells College in Biochemistry, an M.P.H. from Boston University in Health Services, and a J.D. degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center. She also has received a certificate in Advanced Licensing from the Pierce Law Summer Institute and has taken several executive courses in business at Babson College and MIT's Sloan School. Karin is also a Top Gun Presenter.
