Chief Executive Officer, Biovation, LLC
Kerem Durdag is Chief Exectuive Officer of Biovation LLC (www.biovation.com), a leading-edge manufacturing technology company of non-woven fiber and infection control products. He is also partner at Blue Wave Investments tasked with the responsibility of working with young technology companies for capitalization and growth.
Prior to his current position, he was the Director of Sales and Marketing at SenGenuity, the sensors business unit for Vectron, a global semiconductor company. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer for BiODE, a start-up which he lead to its eventual acquisition. Before joining BiODE, Mr. Durdag was the past Chief Technical Officer for STEAG HamaTech, Inc (previously a member of DAX, symbol "DVD") responsible for technology acquisition for the STEAG corporate family, generation of market analysis and business plans for product portfolio enhancement and profit maximization and benchmarking of all optical disc equipment. With responsibility over all engineering functions he also managed negotiation of all intellectual property and agreement contracts.
Before coming to STEAG, Mr. Durdag was Engineering Manager at Conceptronic, Inc. (NYSE: ARGX) which designed and manufactured capital equipment for the electronics industry. There he designed high tech and proprietary technology for rapid commercialization for Visteon, Motorola, IBM, Chrysler and others. He was Finalist in Product and Development, Nov. 1999 for product design engineering in the U.S. and a Winner of SMT Vision 2000 for best new product design and manufacturing in SMT industry.
Mr. Durdag has also served as a Board member of Crossrate Technology and also sits on a number of advisory boards and has presented at numerous product development conferences, notably PPLC in Boston and other industry tradeshows and seminars. He has also pubished papers in peer reviewed journals such as STLE and has several granted patents. Kerem has a B.Sc in Applied Physics (with Distinction in Applied Physics and Theater) from St. John's University (MN) and M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from University of New Hampshire. Kerem is on the Top Gun Board of Advisors and also serves as a Top Gun Mentor and a presenter.
