President, Maine Manufacturing
Since 2008, William Emhiser has served as president of Maine Manufacturing. Bill leads the strategic direction of the Company and lends his 30 years of experience in the Life Science industry to support Maine Manufacturing’s growth. Bill also currently serves as President of AIKO Biotechnology, Inc., a Portland, ME based early stage drug discovery company, where he has successfully lead AIKO through its early stage operational and capital needs and into its first human trials. Previously Mr. Emhiser was Chief Executive Officer of Whatman plc, a leader in the separations industry with emphasis in protein separation and arrays, and DNA collection, storage, and purification, and diagnostics. Prior to Whatman, he was President of North American Operations of Proteome Systems Ltd., a proteomics technology company. Prior to this, he held a number of senior management roles at Millipore Corporation, most notably as President of the Life Sciences Division. Mr. Emhiser holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
