William Keleher

Bio: Bill Keleher is a founding partner and current CEO of Micro Technologies Inc., a commercial aquatic animal health company providing comprehensive services to a diverse set of domestic and international clientele. Since 1996, he has held a variety of positions within the company and most recently worked to develop a strategic vision for company diversification and growth. Bill earned a BS in Aquaculture from the University of Maine Orono and holds certifications as an American Fisheries Society Fish Health Section Fish Health Inspector, Fisheries and Oceans Canada Fish Health Official and a US Fish & Wildlife Service Title 50 Inspector.

Description of company: Since 1996, Micro Technologies’ core business has been as a provider of laboratory related services e.g. diagnostic, certification, veterinary and built a reputation as a provider of high quality aquatic animal health services. While the company has done an exceptional job of expanding their client base both domestically and internationally, competition from subsidized state and university laboratories has put a constriction on the company’s long term growth potential. The company sees significant opportunities to develop alternative revenue streams around aquatic animal health products and contract manufacturing for our current Maine based clients.
